Why this matters
On public rank boards, some users accidentally choose the wrong marking scheme and some may intentionally inflate it. If those scores are ranked directly, the board becomes misleading.
ShiftRank therefore uses the most common scoring pattern for that exam to build the public rank board, while still preserving each user’s own reported score separately.
